From Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Visit the Gallery: Shifts are made at the following times:

Time: from 9:10 am to 11:10 am and 11:10 am to 13:10 pm

Length: Approx. 2 hours

Closed: Monday, December 25, January 1.

Reduced tickets: For European Union citizens aged between 18 and 25 years, Teachers of Public Institutions in the EU (Vatican City, Monaco , Switzerland, Luxembourg , Republic of San Marino, Lichtenstein).

Free tickets: For non EU citizens under 18, EU citizens under 18, You will be asked to show your ID card at the entrance for reduced and free tickets.


Disabled persons: Museum has a difficult access to the first floor. An elevator, ramps and wheelchairs are available inside. Also, guided tour are provided to disabled visitors at the desk VAMI (Volunteers Associaties for Italian Museums).

Checkroom: Visitors are requested to leave bags, backpack, cameras, videocameras, strollers and recording equipment.

Bookshop: Shop opening and closing hours are the same of the ticket office

In the Villa Borghese Museum in Rome you can admire sculptures, bas-reliefs and ancient mosaics as well as paintings and statues from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. The Galleria Borghese is a real art treasure with the inestimable collection of the Galleria al Cardinale Scipione Borghese, who started a systematic acquisition of works of art to enlarge his collection.


The most important part of the collection dates back to Cardinal Scipione but the next three centuries there have been many losses and acquisitions. At his death, the collection had more than 800 paintings from the Renaissance to the Baroque, important and ancient sculptures and an impressive real estate assets.

Inside the gallery you will find Caravaggio’s main art collection, works from Antonello Da Messina, Correggio, Giovanni Bellini,Tiziano.


Here you can find masterpieces from Raffaello, Caravaggio, Tiziano, Correggio, Antonello da Messina, Giovanni Bellini and wonderful sculptures of Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Canova.

The big sculptures of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, "Apollo and Daphne" and "The Rape of Proserpina" by Antonio Canova's, the statue of Pauline Bonaparte, in addition to the paintings of Raffaello as the Baglioni Altarpiece with the famous Christ’s deposition..
